Niche online dating sites are popping up everywhere and with good reason; it seems that people want to find people who are more like them nowadays and that whole “opposites attract” thing has landed in the crapper. Introducing BrainiacDating.com; a niche online dating site for the smarter bunch.
Lawrence Chernin, who created the site in October 2008, says he did so because he wanted to design a place for intelligent singles to connect and meet online.
Site’s members are required to fill out a very detailed profile, although it’s not nearly as hellishly detailed as eHarmony’s. Members of BrainiacDating.com can even join a chat room, write their own blog and even create quizzes. Ah, those smart people. They freak me out.
BariniacDating.com has over 13,000 intelligent members and joining it is free. So if you think you got the brains and the beauty, what are you waiting for? This is the perfect site right?
I bet there are no typos there. The site, however, does look like a Geocities site, though. So I’m not so sure about the brainiacs who created it.

I created and run the site all by myself, and take full blame for the ugliness and typos.
As far as I can tell people are not put off by the look of the site because the join rate is very high.
The real problem is getting the word out. Since the site is free I do not have a big budget for advertising. You can read more about the background of the site in my blog:
