Former Twilight star Robert Pattinson and his new lady-love Riley Keough are apparently inseparable, and word is Kristen Stewart is heartbroken that R Patz was able to move on so quickly.
After four years of tabloid headlines and five melodramatic teen vampire movies together the couple went their separate ways, but is it really too soon for Pattinson to start something new?
If you’re getting out of a recent breakup and you’re not sure when to start dating again we break it down into three simple stages.
Stage 1: Some ‘You’ Time
The first week or so after a break up is a whole lot of crap – you watch TV, cry into your pillowcase, eat ice cream and all those other break up clichés. You just need some time to cool down, even if you were the one doing the dumping.
When you’re having a big fight with someone sometimes the best thing to do is just take some time to back off and let your rage subside. It’s the same with a break up. Take some time to let your feelings settle before you go out socializing.
Stage 2: The Single Phase
The single stage is one of the reasons couples break up in the first place – they want that freedom. Not everyone goes crazy in their single phase, but it’s certainly normal to be a bit wild.
After the first few weeks of ‘you’ time your emotions are all over the place. You want to have fun at any cost and you’re looking for someone or something to capture your attention – even if only for a night.
This stage is entertaining as hell, but you’re still not okay to settle down. You need this time to blow off steam, kiss a few frogs, and realize what you truly want or need in your life.
Stage 3: Ready to Move On
The single stage can last anywhere from a few months to a few years and that means there is no definite way of knowing when you’re ready to move on.
When you meet someone new most of the time you naturally stop thinking about your ex, but the first guy you meet after a breakup isn’t always right for you. The bottom line is, there comes a time in your life when everything stops circling back to your ex. When you no longer dream about them and when you go days or weeks without thinking of them that’s when you’re emotionally ready for a new partner.
It must be pretty hard for R Patz to stop thinking of Kristen Stewart when their names are always together in the tabloids, but maybe Elvis’ granddaughter, Riley Keough, has helped him realize that he’s ready to move on.
Their relationship is probably nothing serious (or even real) but if they are together, sorry Kristen, but some people move on faster than others. We’re sure Stewart will find someone new soon.
